My Philosophy
We all strive for 100% perfection, although no one can truly attain it. Otherwise, you stop training, learning, growing. We are all students, teachers, learners. You teach best what you most need to learn.
After studying martial arts throughout my life, I have come to realize that martial arts in not just physical exercise, or self -defense, but a philosophy and life-style to live by. It embraces perseverance, honesty, integrity, dedication, loyalty, strength, compassion, and respect for others.
I attribute my competitive accomplishments and growth in the Filipino culture and martial arts to my involvement in the Visayan Legacy Association. The guidance and instruction I have received from Master Sonny Napial and the late Master Joe Napial is immeasurable. I am also thankful for my fellow practitioners in the Visayan Legacy Association. We have become an extended family and I look forward to our continued learning, practicing and growing together.
